Our Story
In response to a vision to reach the unreached with the gospel and to equip the church for the Service of the Master and also to edify the Saints, Dr. Abraham Varghese started an organization in 1976 named Gospel for India. To train missionaries to share the love of Christ to unreached people groups, he founded this theological institution in 1989 with twelve young men. Even though this institution was started in Delhi, for further expansion and development it was shifted to Kerala in the year 1994. Initially the seminary was known as Reachout Bible College, but in 2010 the name has been changed to Reachout Theological Seminary.
Let us go forward in this battle fortified by conviction that those who labour in the service of a great and good cause will never fail.
Our Vision
Reachout Theological Seminary is a Seminary which has its vision set on the unknown people groups of India. It has a burden for the people who are out of touch out of reach in the interior parts of this sub-continent. Our commitment is to reach the most Unreached and Unevangelized people.
Our Mission
In its early stages this institution offered only certificate programs in Malayalam. The Diploma in Theology program was introduced in 1996, and the Bachelor in Theology and Graduate in Theology courses were started in 2003, the seminary introduced Master of Divinity program in 2008

Our Beliefs
- We believe in the Holy Bible as the only infallible inspired word of God.
- We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the eternal salvation through the atonement sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the spiritual rebirth through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, Baptism through immersion, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the believer for his sanctification.
- We believe in the death, the resurrection and the second coming of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the unsaved.
- We believe in heaven, eternal blessedness of the saved, and hell conscious suffering of the lost.
